Easter Lilies, 2020
Posted April 7, 2020. Good News: This year wild Atamasco lilies are more abundant and widespread along Cedar Creek than anytime in more than 45 years of my walking these woods. I suppose our wet winter and several floods are responsible for this explosion of beauty. Nevertheless, we’ve had wet years and floods before, but never lilies like these.
Easter lilies are the quintessential Christian symbols of life, death, and renewed life–the Resurrection. These photos of Cedar Creek’s lilies are dedicated to all my FB friends, Christian and non-Christians, as we struggle with the Covid-19 pandemic. May we all find hope and faith as we face this trial. Posted with love.

Thank you for the lovely photo. The brought warmth to a chilly day in Kentucky.
